C. O'Donoghue, rider of Lovely Morning, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran very green.

Philip M. Byrne, trainer of Madamoiselle, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge was showing signs of being in season post race.
